Upgrading VMView Agent
Hi,
I am sure this will be an easy question for a lot of you, but it is just something I have never had to do before. I have a View server v5 with 6 VM's running on it. I need to update the view agent which is currently version 5.1.1. Our AV server is flagging the agent as a risk as it still uses an old version of Java.
What are the steps to upgrade the agent on the VM's and can I potentially nuke anything if it goes wrong?

Thanks for the response, How do you find out where the Gold Template is? I never set up this system and have inherited it with little or no documentation from the previous admin.
Can I just go into one of the VM's and update the agent on there by running the exe file to test first before updating the Template? Also, where do you download the new version of the agent from?

We have a very basic set up - no linked clones, just 5 VM's running through View with each individual assigned a machines that requires it for remote access.
Running the exe on each machine has successfully updated the agent. Thanks for all the info though as it made good reading and has given us a few ideas for the future to maximise the most of our investment.

It will detect and update.
Do the View Agent and Remote Experience Agent.
Recompose, as you would any update to your golden template.
