I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I've never bothered with it. Most users don't even know what it is or how to get in there.

I do, one password for the whole company, but if you are not making changes probably not needed.  We set a few boot options and virtualization settings, along with asset tags.

We also secure our laptops with poweron passwords and such

No.  I have 30 plus computers here and none have a BIOS password.  I have received a couple of old computers that had it set and I had to remove it to get them to work properly.  One, a Toshiba laptop, required a specially wired connector plugged into the parallel printer port to do that.
