cisco 1941 with security and data license

We would like to order a cisco ISR G2 router cisco 1941-sec which has routing capabilities, how should we specify the inclusion of DATA license along w/ sec license?
I believe the data license is L-SL-DATA-19=.

Thanks;

I think you need to order CISCO1941-SEC/K9 and then also the SL-19-DATA-K9.

Check with your Cisco vendor to be absolutely sure though.

Does Cisco 1941-SEC/K9 not come inbuilt w/ DATA license? If so, We may just need to activate it?
It's hard to tell from the literature, that is why I suggest talking to your reseller as they will know for sure.

Can you tell me the steps needed to activate the data license on the router?

You need to activate the licence in the online portal, then apply the licence key they provide to you.

Also, from the diagram on this page you can see what is included in the DATA, SEC and BASE licence.

What do you actually need the DATA license for?

for routing protocol configuration
The routing protocols are in the IPBase licence.

You just need the base router + security.
The only thinga that require data are mpls or advanced VPN functionality.

If that is the case, what extra does the data license bring?

We are looking to use it as for both MPLS and IP SLA.
