Windows 2012 R2 Server Skype

Environment: Windows 2012 R2 Server VM on Proxmox, using TsPlus as the Terminal Services
Wyse T50 Thin Clients, HP PC

Client wants to run Skype via W2012R2 server to PCs / Wyse T50 Thin Clients.
Have run these instructions

We get sound to the speakers of the PC/TC but cannot get microphone input, Skype test shows no microphone; but cant seem to get around the microphone issue i.e. havent found a solution, as yet.

Anyone know how to complete the project?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In the terminal server session, does Windows see the microphone in control panel?  In Control Panel, go to Sound, (you might need to change the view to Large icons instead of Category).

In Sound properties, go to Recording tab, if you see the microphone there, check that there is no ! next to the mic icon and that it is set as default.

Next, is the Mic a USB mic or the legacy 1/8" mic?  If the legacy, it should go into the pink jack.

Tsplus consistently mangles hardware since RemoteFX shipped in win7/2008 R2 SP1. You are better off running native RDS or upgrading to Citrix. Either way, TSPlus is purely money-grab scheme that offers no benefit in a modern environment (in my opinion, of course.)

Bigeven2002: No microphone in the CP / Sounds

Cliff: Tks for the comment

David: No microphone in the Host OS
Ok thanks for the update.  Is the mic a usb mic or one that plugs into the pink jack?  What make and model is the mic?  Is the driver installed if applicable?  Does the device manager show any unknown or non functioning devices?
