C# DataSet .xsdFile

Hi

I am new to C#. I work in VB.net and used connection strings to pull data from a database.
I want to understand how the following works. It is a .xsd file.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

These are datatableadapters. Highly recommended in place of all the low-level SqlCommand stuff.

They create a strongly typed layer between your objects and the physical tables. You operate them by the Fill, FillBySync, etc. methods listed at the bottom of each adapter.

You can easily find tutorials for these.
Once you get hold on these, you won't look back.

Instead of these, you should use Entity Framework which is an evolution over these datasets
