8021x and Group policy

We are using 802.1x via Cisco AnyConnect NAM. The Windows machines are authenticating quickly enough for Group Policy to run properly.

Is there a way to make Group Policy run only when the computer is on the correct IP range. We have the Group Policy set to only run once the network starts, but with the 802.1x the computers land in a guest network, so the network has started, just the wrong one.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You could use site policies. Create an AD Site, link the guest IP range to it and create a site policy. To run GPO you need to be able to contact the infrastructure server (Domain Controller etc).
