Excel VBA pulling data from Pastel

Does anyone have a sample of VBA code for pulling data from a Pastel database?

Can you use VBA to run specific Pastel reports that open in Excel?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I haven't worked with Pastel, but if you have drivers on your machine, you should be able to connect to Pastel and manipulate it like any other database.

Try going to tab Data then select the Get External Data item then the From Other Sources item and follow directions to connect.

With that connection (or even without), you should be able to run Pastel reports as long as they have public APIs to access them. Again, I don't have access to Pastel so at best I could tell you how to find the things you need but they often get challenging when working with APIs, depending on how they're written.
