moving public folders to exchange 2007 server

Dear Experts,

I'm at the final stages of moving exchange 2007 services to another host (also exchange 2007). The Public folders that exist on the old exchange server were used for a small project years ago that is no required.

Do I need to move the Public Folders to the new exchange server if they are no longer required?

How can I manually, forcibly remove the public folders from the old server in order to uninstall exchange server?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you don't need them anymore then don't migrate and get rid of them would be the better choice.
