Memory Issues

Three users are getting the same error message when opening up 2 or more Microsoft Office products.  "There isn't enough memory to complete this action"

All three computers are running Windows 8 with 4GB of ram.

Any ideas what I should look at?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

4 GB of memory should be enough unless the spreadsheets or documents are huge. I assume Windows 8 is 64-bit as Windows 32-bit is limited to 3 GB even if 4 Gb is installed.

Can other users with similar 4 GB computers run the same Office programs?

Do the users have other programs running?  Lot of Chrome windows can chew up memory. Run Task Manager and sort by Memory. What is using all the memory ?
