Would a Verizon 3G Repeater use our network bandwidth?

We just installed a Verizon 3G Repeater due to our building materials blocking the signal. We noticed the repeater still need to connect to internet through our network. Can you tell me if this kind of repeater uses a lot or just trivial network bandwidth?
