Upgrading ESXi from 4.1 to 6.0

It appears that a direct upgrade from ESXi 4.1 to 6.0 is not supported.  Does anyone know if I can upgrade 4.1 to 5.5, and then upgrade the same installation from 5.5 to 6.0?

Yes, that will work.

BUT, to be honest, we never like upgrades, and prefer, complete new installations.

Do you know if your server hardware is even on the HCL, a lot has changed since 4.1!

Thanks for the reply.  I just checked the HCL and 6.0 isn't supported.  Looks like 5.5 is as far as this hardware will go.  Thanks again.
