this host is currently being managed by the vcenter server with ip address x.x.x.x
esxi 5.5
vcenter server 5.5
Upon initial launch of the vsphere5.5 client (after logging on), I receive the message:
"This host is currently being managed by the vCenter Server with IP address X.X.X.X. Changes made to this host during this session may now be reflected in vSphere Client sessions currently viewing the vCenter Server."
I am hosting a vcenter server so this is not the issue. my actual question is, is it possible to suppress this notification?

Looks like you're logging in directly to the host and not vCenter. If you log in to vCenter this message does not show up, it's just a reminder that it's not a standalone ESXi host

I understand that. There are occasions where I use the vsphere client in lieu of vsphere web client for certain configuration changes. All I am curious about is if the default dialogue can be suppressed.
