Apply Internet Explorer 11 Settings for All Users

Hi All

I’m trying to achieve the following via IEAK 11 however without any avail.

1.      Adding a site to Trusted Site (*
2.      Delete Browsing history on Exit
3.      Website Data Settings - Check for newer versions of stored pages: Every time I visit the webpage

I’ve tried this numerous ties via IEAK but no go.
I’m trying to apply these for all users.
OS: Windows Server 2012 R2

Would the experts be able to suggest any solutions? Many Thanks!

IEAK is not like a GPO. Typically what you do is to make your configuration changes and then you have to run the executable against each computer. The information is stored on each computer and then when any user connects to the computer all of the settings, user and computer, are applied to each user.

If you want to do some IE configuration to all users without having to visit each PC in some fashion, you probably need to use a GPO instead. Make your changes in the GPO and then apply the GPO to the appropriate OU(s).

Also, users can simply change their IE settings. Changes to user account IE settings are not stopped by Standard User or UAC.  So your settings will be out of date very quickly.
You can do this with group policy preferences. You will need a Windows 8 computer with RSAT or a 2012+ domain controller

These are settings you want to apply to the USERS, so create the GPO and then apply it to any OU that has user accounts

Go to Group Policy Management. Create a new GPO, then right click and choose Edit to begin editing the GPO

Under Users - Preferences - Control Panel Settings - Internet Settings. Right click and choose New -> Internet Explorer 10 (IE 10 GPP's also apply to IE 11)

Configure all the settings as you would if you were sitting in your own browser. If there's a text field that is underlined in red that you have configured, you'll need to hit F6 to apply it (it will turn green)

Hit OK once done. Then tie the GP to the Users OU you created.

That is pretty much it.
