Using a Sum as a group header

I am trying to modify a hours report that has a sum field.  I want to use this sum field in a group header so that I can pull out anybody that has hours greater than 44.

I have a formula call sum that looks like this
Sum ({eduHoursTable.OrientHrs}, {New_Client_Info_Table.First_Name})+
Sum ({eduHoursTable.classhrs}, {New_Client_Info_Table.First_Name})+
Sum ({eduHoursTable.TutorHrs}, {New_Client_Info_Table.First_Name})

Now I want to use this for the group header, but it it not one of the options to be selected as a group header.

You can't since you are already grouping on another field and using that in the summary.

WHat are you trying to do?

DO you just want to see those with over 44 hours?

Do you want to see all but sort descending by hours?

YOu can put it in the New_Client_Info_Table.First_Name group header.

Check the GROUP SORT options under REPORT.  It may be you can use it to sort the groups.

Here are 3 methods of accomplishing what you want.

First highlight the name when over 44 hours using the HIGHLIGHTING EXPERT under the FORMAT menu

Q-28648538-Highlight-over-44.rpt

Second  Sort by hours descending

Q-28648538-Sort-By-Hours.rpt

Third by using the GROUP SELECTION under the REPORT --> SELECTION FORMULAS --> GROUP

Q-28648538-Group-Selection.rpt

To the best of my knowledge these are the only way to do it in Crystal without resorting to writing specialized SQL to do the grouping and calculations then selection
