Data Grid View column edit property

Using Visual Studio C# 2010 or 2013 is there a property that controls the shading of an editable column? I have a dgv where one column is editable. Whenever the user clicks on that column the field immediately gets filled in with shading. The user has to double click on the field and then click the Home key to get back to the beginning of the field so they can see the text and make changes. What property of the column must I set so the user can just click once, see the text and make changes?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Check the "EditRowStyle" property of the dgv to style the editable columns
