I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I've successfully used the APC remote power switches, but they're considerably more expensive.

Yeh, same - we only use the name brands.  Cyberpower is the one we're happy with currently -

Previously used these-  Had one fail and caused a lot of issues and haven't used them since, but cheaper and do have the ability to ping an IP.  If the IP doesn't respond after X, then it can reboot.  Nice feature, but a pain to figure out.
