Hi Experts
Could you point a free and reasonably good software to edit vídeos (mpg). That you have experienced.
Since I'm capturing image from VHS vídeos do mpg and due some VHS failures that make it to be reinicialized (memory dumps occurred during the vídeo captures) I need a software to "merge" the vídeos produced.
Thanks in advance

Actually, avidemux does support .mpg (MPEG) files.

If you don't want to do this online, you can use something like VideoPad Video Editor, free for non-commercial use.

* During installation of this download you will be given the option to install Google® Chrome and closely related programs from the NCH Software suite. These are optional and you can select what you want depending on your requirements.Make sure that uncheck the appropriate boxes so as not to install stuff you don't want!

You could use that to edit videos even if you do not publish them directly.
If you want something more powerful that runs on your desktop then beware that it will also be more complicated and confusing however Avidemux is a good free and open-source video editing program. It runs on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and BSD.
