Migrated a VM from one cluster host to another cluster host. We have done this many, many times with no issue. Something happened this time with an error that an xml file was in use. Somewhere in there, the original VM stayed on the original cluster host but an exact copy also sits on the intended host we wanted it to move to. SO, we leave the original VM turned off via hyper-v manager and turn up the VM on the new host. Exact same virtual machines here and everything seems fine, however in VMM we see the VM on the old cluster host and not the new cluster host.<br />

How can we can we get VMM to recognize that this VM is on a new cluster host and get it to forget about the VM in the other cluster host?<br />

Anything else I need to consider here?

Two VM Instances, Wwrong One Shows in VMM

Hyper-V is a native hypervisor; it can create virtual machines on x86-64 systems and supersedes Windows Virtual PC as the hardware virtualization component of the client editions of Windows NT. A server computer running Hyper-V can be configured to expose individual virtual machines to one or more networks. Hyper-V Server supports remote access via Remote Desktop Connection. Administration and configuration of the host OS and the guest virtual machines is generally done over the network.
