Adding text when using the Proper command in Excel
I have twenty pages of reports where the Account Names are all Caps and Indented.
In A1 I have the following text:
ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES
I am putting the following formula in B1:
=Proper("A1")
Which yields:
Administrative Expenses
HOWEVER I was to add the number 1 in front of the subsequent text as follows:
1Administrative Expenses
or
1 Administrative Expenses
In A1 I have the following text:
ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES
I am putting the following formula in B1:
=Proper("A1")
Which yields:
Administrative Expenses

I have a feeling you are complicating things. Why would you have to do a find and replace? Why don't you put what you want in the first instance?
