Clean-up Issue

As part of my Clean-up duties I closed this question. There are two problems with it now. First of all I believe I made a mistake when I closed the question by Accept-ing a particular answer that I now believe doesn't answer the question. Second there were additional posts added after I closed the question which caused it to be reopened. I like now to close it as an "Issue with Experts". Is that appropriate?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you're asking the experts in that thread then you'd do better asking this question in there so they know it is directed at them and may reply.
Just add your above as a further comment in the thread.
You can get it reopened to redistribute points etc by asking in wherever community support has moved to.
At the same time I suggest you ask for this to be deleted.

I'm not asking the people in that thread. The problem is that all of Community Support has (as they say around here) been depreciated in favor of a group discussion. In other words it is not a TA any longer but rather a group. I think that was a mistake but there's not much I can do about it.
Thibault St john Cholmondeley-ffeatherstonehaugh the 2ndCommented:
I think the plan is that it will work the same way. You should be able to 'start a new discussion' instead of posting a question. The outcome ought to be the same, just the words are different.
I do have a request attention link above me in this question,  pressing that should bring someone running.
Can you see that too or would you like me to press it?

While I haven't been around here as long as you, I have been here long enough to know about the Request Attention link and I would have pressed it if I wanted to.

I think the plan is that it will work the same way.

Try searching for something in a group.
Thibault St john Cholmondeley-ffeatherstonehaugh the 2ndCommented:
I have one group that I use. I've never tried searching in it. I agree with you that groups seems to have added complications to something that was easy to understand and worked quite well..
I didn't mean to state the obvious about the request attention, I didn't know if the author could see that link or if it was just there for others to complain about the question.
Martin LissOlder than dirtAuthor Commented:
I agree with your assessment of groups and it's well put.

Just to be clear, when I created this question I wasn't trying to communicate with the Author of the question or anyone who posted in the question, but rather just to get advice on how to clean it up properly at this point. I also understand now that this wasn't the best TA to ask for such advice, and while I see no harm in leaving it here I'm going to self-accept one of my posts as the answer so that it doesn't eventually cost me points.

No objection.
Martin, I believe the Group you need is called Site Support, possibly so those seeking community support can't find it. There are some random looking discussion titles in there bit some look like community support questions.
You have to join it to see the content, but this only requires a click of a button. It accepted me instantly and should let you join too.
Best of luck!
Robin.

I would have posted this in Community Support if it still existed, which would have been free and I just now realized that posting here would cost me points.
