How to setup iSCSI Target on W2K3 server?

This is using MS Windows 2003 R2 32-bit standard server on a quite old hardware. This server is currently not in use due to the hardware. We are planning to redeploy it as a storage server to provide few iSCSI targets using its local hard disks. How can I do it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ktaczala,

Can i use iscsi initiator to setup iscsi target?
Your best bet is to get FreeNas or Openfiler and set them up as your iscsi Target.

I do not believe there is an iscsi target mechanism for windows 2003 as an iscsi target.

Thanks Arnold, no iSCSI target software for w2k3 server.

At the end, my management allowed us to use w2k8 32-bit, and as for the iscsi targets, we are using kernsafe with free version. It works perfectly.
