Exchange 2010 Database Cleanup, delete transaction logs

We are running Exchange 2010 SP2 (upgrading to SP3 in the next month).  Part of our cleanup is to remove some mailboxes to new databases.  After the migration, I plan on unmounting/removing the old databases and clean up the .edb files from the server.  Can I just as easily delete the associated transaction log files for these old databases?
Thank you,

You will be ok as long as you dismount the database first

Here is some reading on the subject for you.

Transaction Logs are committed  immediately to the database and are only used when your database needs to be recovered. Depending on the situation if you have a database crash then you will also notice edb.chk file which is used to illustrate what logs have been committed to the database.

Aside from that if you are doing Full Backups this will also clear up the lost as well.

Will.
