I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. The SSRS textbox has a setting that allows it to render HTML.  However, the supported tags are rather limited.  <BR> is not among them.

Here are the details on locating that setting: Add HTML into a Report (Report Builder and SSRS)

Supported tags can be found here: Importing HTML into a Report (Report Builder and SSRS)

If the rendering of your HTML does not give the expected results another option is to remove the HTML tags from your text. One method of doing that is by using regular expressions:

=System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex.Replace(Fields!YourHTML.Value, "<[^>]+>","")

As you can see, you can just use the System.Text.RegularExpressions objects in an expression in the textbox.
