Exchange migration 2013
Previous IT support in the organization partially migrated the database on 2013 exchange, which is setup on MaCbook 16 gb machine with Windows 2012 server standard and exchange 2013.
For some reason he only moved half of the mailbox. Due to some performance reason he did not migrate Executive mailbox with high data and applied new certificate to resolve external mail OWA, Activesync, autodiscovery certificate based name prefix with exchange,org.com instead of mail.org.com which is running in Exchange 2007.
Now I have single Exchange organization two certificate based address. I am planning to install a new virtual machine in ESX and install exchange 2013 and plan migration from exchange 2007 and finally move data from existing 2013.
My dilemma is either to do P2V of existing exchange 2013 or completely create a new VM and then migrate both. I might bring problem with P2V conversion if there is any. I have not seen any event logs specific to problem but most of the users thinks he did complete migration after finding problem in new exchange.
What are tools I should use apart from exchange analyzer, event logs, mailbox profile manager and is it recommended to to P2V from exchange using different certificate based outlook virtual directory

it was installed in MAC pro instead of proper server. Now I have three ESX servers with netapps and I am planning to virtualize exchange.
it was installed in MAC pro instead of proper server
Then do not P2V rather install a new exchange 2013 with CU8 and move all the mail boxes.

What are the performance issues you are facing? What are specs of your exchange 2013 server?
Please post these details first for a clarification. The best option for you is to solve the performance issues of your current exchange 2013, if is related memory, CPU or storage etc.. and move the remaining mailboxes from your exchange 2007. But to confirm this, we need more details of your exchange 2013 setup and its hard ware.
