WIll we retain Citrix Receiver shortcuts & settings when replacing Citrix StoreFront 2.5 with Storefront 2.6?

Over the past few months we have been having some ongoing issues with our Storefront 2.5 host (running on Server 2008 R2 OS).
I have spent ages on it and I am not really any close to finding the resolution.

In a nutshell, apps don't seem to fire from the receiver every time you launch (sometimes can take 4 attempts) & it also fails to authenticate frequently when trying to sign in via the web console.

I am about to deploy Storefront 2.6 onto a new Win Server 2012 R2 host. Once I test & am happy with it, I would like to just swap the hostnames of the current & new hosts. This way all the GP settings used to publish the receiver address & everywhere that the address has been manually entered will not be affected.

Is that something I would be able to do? I am just trying to plan the smallest outage period.
I am unsure if by changing the hostname after installing Storefront 2.6, if it will break the IIS bindings etc. Or would I need to have swapped the hostnames prior to installing SF 2.6 on the new host?

Also, where are the users receiver settings stored? In the Storefront server or in the users Citrix profile? Eg, if I replace the host, will every user also loose their receiver shortcuts?

You can change the host name on the storefront server without any issues. All the storefront settings are based on the url which you created. If you are changing the fdqn too then you need to change the base url with new fqdn. Cool, FQDN of the new host will be changed to the same FQDN to the current host.
In saying that, it sounds like I shouldn't have any issue.
