I have MSM410 access points and MSM720 controller. How MSM720 controller will going to discover the Access Points automatically

The MSM controller is connected to the HP core switch and Access Points are connected to the access switches. I have created one vlan for the Access Point management and for users. The IP address for this VLAN is 10.0.4.254/24 on the switch and i have changed the default "Access network" interface IP to 10.0.4.1/24 from 192.168.1.1/24 and VLAN id to 4 same as in the core switch from 1.
In VSC profile i have created new Profile NBCC  and selected "Use Controller for Authentication" only.

But i am not able to detect any Access Points by the controller under Controlled Access Points.

Please help me what configuration i needed to done in the controller to allow him to detect Access Points and  verify the users but DHCP will be assigned to the user by separate DHCP server.

Hi,

Is the MSM410 run in controlled mode? or autonomos mode?

If the MSM410 is in controlled mode, you need only to plug the AP in the network and power on then the MSM720 will detect and share the configuration, in some case the manual discovery must be done.

Regarding DHCP, if you want to use separate DHCP sever to distribute IP make sure the server is in the same Vlan and reachable.

Please refer to this guide for quick start setup:

and configuration guide for more details:

Good luck

The MSM410 is in factory default condition. and by default i think it remain in a controlled mode but not sure.
Its not detecting the AP.
The server is reachable from the MSM720 Controller.
If i want to discover manually how i will detect it? I have not done any configuration on the AP.
I have followed the quick installation guide but still its not working.
