Expanding vSphere 6 replicated Virtual disk fails. "vSphere Replication does not support changing the length of a replicated disk"

When we try to expand a virtual disk we get the error "vSphere Replication does not support changing the length of a replicated disk." then it fails. The only work around is for us to brake the replication and then expand it then re-replicate it. There has to be a better way to do this. Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This is the only supported method, because the original virtual machine disk has changed, and therefore subsequent block changes will not be consistent.
