How do I move this logo up and the menu to the right?

I have a site here:

www.monkeypuke.com

and I need to move the logo up about 45 pixels and float the main navigation to the right side.

See attached image for what I need it to look like.

Any help is appreciated.

This is Wordpress. You are using a theme called Bazar. If the theme does not provide a way to move the menu to the right in the admin panel then a different theme would be the best move. Modifying the current theme is a can of worms. If you start down that path you will pull your hair out trying to get the theme to look good at various browser widths. You already have a problem. Below 1200 pixels wide, the logo jumps above the lines at the top and is partially cut off (I'm testing in Firefox).

There should be a way in css to float the navigation right or left.

Likewise, the logo should be able to move up using z-index to layer it and changing the margins.

Again, there has to be a css solution.

A css solution? Certainly, but at what screen size? What happens to the right aligned navigation when the screen gets smaller? What happens to the logo? Does it get smaller too? Do they stack?

You start with a theme that has all those issues addressed for you. You throw a wrench in the works and it all comes apart. One of the key reasons to choose Wordpress as a CMS is that you don't have to labor over the presentation side of the site. With 10,000 themes to choose from there's something to fit every need. You can tweak things here and there with any theme. What you want to do is redesign the entire header's structural layout. You need two columns and your theme only has one.

I would need to first make those changes and then test it to see what "breaks".

And then if I don't like it, I can just change it back.

I like throwing wrenches, Tom.

So, can you help me or not?

Bazar Shop is a premium theme, not free. Making structural changes to the header area would require modifying the header.php file, assuming there is only one php file involved, followed by extensive changes to the stylesheets (multiple stylesheets). All I can do from here is make tweaks to the css on monkeypuke.com. That's not going to be enough.

ok, nevermind. I'll just go back to the client and tell them to make the logo smaller.
