Outlook 2011 for Mac - E-mail Sync Issue

We are currently running Outlook 2011 for Mac.  We are noticing that Outlook 2011 tries to sync with Exchange, and it is running into a sync issue and it is unable to bring down any new e-mails.  We had collaborated with Microsoft over the past few weeks and they have provided us with a number of patches that we applied.

The behavior is better now and the sync will perform only when Outlook 2011 is launched.  If Outlook 2011 exited and and relaunched, the e-mail sync will occur correctly, however after the sync occurs, no more active syncing will be performed.  We have other users who are using Outlook 2011 for Mac and not experiencing this issue.

Just curious if anyone has experienced this very challenging issue and if there may be a more solid solution.  :-)

did you set outlook to sync automatically or by days.
go into advance tab for the account and make sure the username and is ok and the port numbers aren't being overridden and finally this normally occurs when the system drops the internet connection be sure to check connectivity when this happens

We're running Exchange 2010, v.14.02.0247.005 and it hosted offsite by Sungard.
