How to present a volume to my host ?

Hi Experts,

I have a storage from HP -> MSA2252.
The hosts are connected over a SAN SWITCH (brocade) to the storage via fiber.
I have to create a new volume on the storage and present it to my SQL host.
The volume is created .

But how to present it to my host ?

Assuming you have set up zoning on the SAN switches...

Create the host (can't find reference to that but must be similar to delete host on page 67
Create the initiator as in page 65-66.
Add initiators to the host page 66.
Map the initiator to the volume page 90-91
Beware mapping the volume to more than one host unless you are using clustering software.

The hosts are all set with WWN number.
But I don´t know -> which wwn belongs to which server ?
Can tell me how to find out which WWN belongs to my server ?

The HBA manufacturers all provide utilities to get the HBA info but which HBAs do you have in the server?

You can also get it via WMI (if you are using Windows)
