Cisco Controller 2504 boot loader failed verification

I was updating one of my cisco wlc 2504 software to 8.0.

I have done this before without issue; however, it loaded, rebooted.

It showed on the wlc 8.0.

All 5 of the access points, dropped like normal.  I started to see one at a time come back online with the new version 8.0.

Everything looked fine, everything  was working, about to leave the site and then cisco WLC froze.

I waited about 10 minutes and it never responded.  Turn it off and back on, now I get

"Improper system operation detected
 System has been halted because:
1. Boot loader failed verification"

I ended up buying another and shipping it overnight to get the site back up.

Anyway to fix this one?

You could try to reflash by booting into rommon and loading the OS again.

Or, you could be lazy and call Cisco TAC and get them to fix it for you (if you have valid support)

I don't have smartnet with this cisco wlc.  How  do you reflash the cisco 2504?

I'm not able to break out of the cisco loop, boot loader failed.

I'm trying to press ctrl-break when I cut it on.

Is Ctrl-break the right key.  I'm using powerterm to COM into the WLC.
