If we delegate users in dynamic distribution list, will they get signature automatically or is it manual. It does not appear automatically. Exchange 2013.

Hi V0LUME,

Can you expand on your setup? Are your users 'sending as' a distribution group, and are the signatures set up on the client or server level?

Hi Adam, the signature software is CodeTwo Exchange Rules Pro. I believe it doesn't support applying a signature for Distribution groups?

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

Hi V0LUME,

When CodeTwo Exchange Rules Pro processes messages that were sent as a distribution group (or another user), it attaches the signature that was configured for the group. When processing messages sent on behalf of a group or user, CodeTwo Exchange Rules Pro adds the signature configured for the original sender. Here is some more info: http://www.codetwo.com/userguide/exchange-rules-pro/send-as-right.htm

To analyze the issue I would need more data on your signature rule configuration in C2 ER PRO and details on the scenario in which the problem occurs.

Also, keep in mind that if you have a valid tech support contract for your instance of the program, you can have CodeTwo Support solve the issue: http://www.codetwo.com/company/contact

Best regards,
Adam

Hi Adam,

Sorry the post was created by my colleague. We do have a valid support contract with CodeTwo. I am pretty sure we already logged this before and it wasn't supported.

Currently the Dynamic Group is not in an OU where the signature is applied. I can move it and test if you like?

James,

Yes, please do. The signature should now start to get added for users sending as the group.

Please let me know what the result is,
Adam

Hi Adam,

It does work, but we can't use it because they want the signature to display the name and telephone number of the distribution group (HR Team). This is not supported because distribution groups don't have the same attributes as users.

The only option is to make another signature for this one group or apply and manual signature in Outlook.

Thanks for your help.
