Datatables

I am trying to use an extension (colvis) in datatables but it's not working for me.
https://datatables.net/extensions/colvis/

I think it's because of the way I'm using "dom" below.  Any ideas?

$(document).ready( function () {

    $('#example').DataTable( {

        "dom": 'C<"clear">lfrtip' //<-- Don't understand how this works

    } );

} );

Open in new window

Hi,
could you perhaps try this:
$(document).ready( function () {
    $('#example').DataTable( {
        dom: 'C<"clear">lfrtip'
    } );
} );

Open in new window

(removing the double quotes of the dom identifier).

Have you included/referenced/loaded the ColVis style sheet file as well?
(not only the JS)

The ColVis extension adds an additional flag named "C" to the dom types.
The setting tells DataTables:
- Use the type C
- Create a div with the class "clear"
- The last option list are DataTable types / elements to set the order in which the elements are created

Should be:
<div class="wrapper">
      {length}
      {filter}
      {processing}
      {table}
      {information}
      {pagination}
    </div>
See:
https://datatables.net/reference/option/dom
