Only one email address can be entered in the 'send email' spot. However, you can repeat this with the same link as many times as desired. An easier way would be to have a single email address to be used as a Group address, so all recipients are sent the email. For instance, create an Exchange Distribution Group, or a Gmail account and have it forward to all 10 'recipients'. Use that address specifically for emailing out to that Group. Or, copy the link under "Share Link" and send an email to all recipients with the link.

- Create a folder
- Share the folder
- Share a link
- Allow Public uploads
- Password protect  or not
- Set the other check box options for 'copy, share, edit' etc

*then*

Input the group email address in the send email box and send email
 -or-
copy the link and email it separately to the group of individuals

They (non-ownCloud account holders) will receive a link. They click the link and, if password protected, are prompted with a password input page. They input the determined password and are shown a web page displaying the contents of the shared folder. If no password is set, they are presented with the contents.

Based upon the setting you chose during the sharing process, they will be able to perform the various tasks - upload, download, create folders, re-share the link etc.

Easy-peasy

the sharing policy has config for public link but apparently it need login as req user identity to ascertain for access for group based type of sharing. Otherwise, public shared link should not need login
Check Allow users to share via link to enable creating public shares for people who are not ownCloud users. This creates a hyperlink, just like a Web page, so your ownCloud server needs to be accessible to whoever you are sharing with

Check Enforce password protection to force users to set a password on all public share links. This does not affect local user and group shares
https://doc.owncloud.org/server/7.0/admin_manual/configuration/file_sharing_configuration.html

This has a run through of the various mentioned file share scheme

"Allow users to share via link to enable creating public shares " enabled ,but how can i add group here? or i must only one user mail here? if so then very bad because i want to send a link who are not owncloud user (cant login) and they are a group with 10 external mail addresses.

nope, not with the free owncloud community edition. Remember, this is free stuff and has limitations on some features reserved for the Enterprise (subscription based service from owncloud.org) version.

If you have a Group of ownCLoud Users, then this is a moot point because as soon as you shared the folder with the ownCloud Group, they would have it available in their 'Files' list immediately upon login.

Also, to be more specific about the sharing.. The link they receive will link them to a folder on a webpage, it does not link directly to a file download prompt. They must click the link and load the webpage. The web page will have a preview of the item and a link to download will be to the right. That is where they download the shared content.

Yes, that is a limitation with the stock free edition. Only one address at a time. You can send out the emails to additional recipients one after another by waiting for the 'email sent' message and then inputting another address, then 'Send Email'. It would probably only take you 90-120 seconds to send to 10 recipients separately.

However, the extra steps are why i suggested copying the link and drafting a separate email with the recipients listed, or create a distribution group email.

The only other method is if they also have an ownCloud account on the same server, then sharing is easier - no links involved.

in owncloud, the public share limits owncloud users to only configure "Shared by link" to displays all files (not folder) that are shared by users permitted by admin via public link.
Sharing single files within a shared folder should not result in the sharing link being the whole folder, but just that single file..... fixed for ownCloud6 and oc5.0.14
https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/3623#issuecomment-28598101

ownCloud will send the public link to users (no group) by email by typing each email address into the email field. Separate multiple email addresses with a space.

Good to also know issues are discussed and if request can be made or bug found by community since it is open src per se https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues

note (again) - Your new public share is labeled with a chain link. If you do not protect it with a password,
it is visible to anyone who has the URL. also if you create a public share via URL, and allow uploads, any uploaded files count against your storage quota.
