Master slider effect on hover

We would like to have an effect in master slider in which a layered image moves up a little when the cursor hovers and then back to starting point when cursor is moved. Probably a simple thing but it eludes us.

An example of this can be seen here:

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can use CSS3 transform Property e.g.

.your-el {
    width: 100px;
    height: 100px;
    background: red;
    position :relative;

.your-el:hover {

<div class="your-el"></div>

Or you can also use CSS3 @keyframes animation
