How can I improve this website Google index?

Hello, so I'm working on a web site in 3 languages, and I need to have a good Google index result for my customer.
Right now the result is quite good in italian, good in english, bad in german.

The website in german.

So, I was wondering if someone has any suggestion how to refine SEO on this website.

This is the SEO code I have right now for the Home Page:

<title>Kinder Hotel Ligurien - Family Hotels, Apartments, Agrotourismen und Str&auml;nde von Finale Ligure f&uuml;r einen Familienurlaub mit Kindern - Home Page - Ligurien, Italien</title>

	<meta name="Description" content="Hotels und Apartment-Hotels in Finale Ligure, die Sonderangebote und maßgeschneiderten Gästeservice für einen Familienurlaub mit Kindern an der Palmenriviera bieten. Jedes Hotel verpflichtet sich der professionellen, gesicherten Betreuung und der ganz besonderen Aufmerksamkeit für die kleinen Gäste. Finale Ligure ist in der Provinz von Savona, Riviera delle Palme, Ligurien, Italien." />

    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="it" href="http://www.larivieradeibambini.it" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="de" href="http://www.kinderhotelligurien.de" />
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="http://www.childrenholiday.com" />

Open in new window

I noticed that Google's description starts from "Jedes Hotel..." and the first part is missing.
Also, I noticed that other pages are coming before the home page in search results, if I simply change the search string from "kinder hotel ligurien" to "kinderhotel ligurien".

So, am I doing something wrong here? Any suggestions?

Thanks guys.

Actually right now it's #2 with the first query and in second page with the second query. I forgot to mention I'm testing with google.de in german.

The thing that bothers me most though is the description. Why on Earth does it start with the second sentence I wrote, totally neglecting the first?

Ok, thanks. Does anybody know why Google starts the description with the second sentence, cutting the first? I would understand if the whole description was cut short, ok it's long, but why does the first sentence not appear?

Here you can see with an exact match search of the domain, the "description" meta tag is fully utilized.

Here you can see with the phrase Kinder Hotel Ligurien the domain is on page 3 and Google does not use the first sentence of your description meta tag on the serp:
kinder-phrase.PNG
Google does not feel the domain has much authority for the term "Kinder Hotel Ligurien" (hence page 3 for the phrase) and also does not feel the first sentence of your meta description is relevant to the search result either.

In reviewing the site, the phrase "Kinder Hotel Ligurien" does not appear in plain text anywhere on the page.

Additionally, when I translate the meta description and the page, it appears the second sentence is more relevant to the page content:
Each hotel is committed to the professional, secure care and special attention for younger guests.

As you can see, all of the text on the page is related to "younger guests":

Google is tailoring the Meta Description to more closely match the page content.

Ok, thanks for the clarifications. Although if I do a search simulating a deutsch user with deutsch language the website actually comes up on the first page, in third position:

Yes, you are right. It's actually better placed with kinderhotel than kinder hotel, go figure.

I find it absurd that a search for the exact website title only rates it in 3rd page.
