User's mailbox on Exchange 2010 not working as trying to load from Exchange server overseas, rather than local Exchange!!
hi guys
We are part of a domain, with the forest FC.LOCAL. We have our US site, which is us.fc.local and our UK site which is uk.fc.local.
There's a user, which exists on the us.fc.local domain and his entire mailbox sits on the database that is on the us.fc.local. However, when we load his outlook, it is taking forever and then we realised that it was looking at the uk.fc.local instead as it prompts us to enter the users credentials by referring to the Exchange server on the UK site.
Nobody else is having this problem but this user. Can you help with any command prompts which I could run or 'force' Exchange to look at the local Exchange for this user?
Thanks a lot
Yashy

Well that's the strange thing! I'm verifying whether the question to your question Compdigit44 is the fact? I've asked our colleagues out there to try it and see.
Hi Yashy,
First of all, all your clients will try and connect to the UK site as your default public folder is located there...
<PublicFolderServer>FCCAME XCH01.uk.f c.local</P ublicFolde rServer>
This may be your issue....
Other than that, I assume you have an Autodiscover record in each domain pointing to the local site CAS Array?

Hi Guy,
Yes, the public folder is pointing there, but we do have audodiscover in each domain pointing to the local site. In fact, any mailbox migrated to the new environment or any new mailboxes set up are all seen locally perfectly.
Is there a way I can change that public folder server to look at the local server in the US instead of the one in the UK?
Thanks again

This solution is only available to members.
To access this solution, you must be a member of Experts Exchange.
First lets see what his client is looking at...
Run a "Test E-Mail AutoConfiguration" on Outlook so we can see what Autodiscover is providing, and post the XML output here please.
