Is the ASA5505 End of Life?

So I found End of Life dates for the ASA5510, ASA5520, etc., but I can't seem to fine one for the ASA5505.  Does anyone know if there is one?  I can't only find EOL dates for certain modules that go in the  5505, but not for the 5505 itself.  Thanks.

Hi,

You are right, the only EOS/EOL referring to ASA 5505 is related to the AIP cards.

Since there is no listing for the 5505 it self, means that it's not concerning! Cisco announce an EOS/EOL for the 5510 and 5520 because changing the product portfolio for the intermediate model that will be changed for example to 5525 5540... but he 5505 is the entry level so no changes.

You can't find one because Cisco needed to keep the ASA5505 for the SMB Market even with the first few releases of the Next Gen 'X Series' firewalls.

However it wont be long, the ASA5506 is now released the ASA5506W will be out shortly, then the ASA5508, The ASA5505 chassis has its days numbered!
