Exchange 2013 Export to PST

I need to export several fairly large mailboxes from Exchange 2013 to PST so I can send to an archiving company. I can find scripts to do that no problem but the PSTs end up way too big and unusable. Is there a way to export and limit the file size to 2 GB?

Hi There,

You cannot split the PST on creation, but you can do it afterwards using a third party app like the ones below...

You can't specify a maximum PST size when doing an export however you can look at exporting data between date ranges instead via the -ContentFilter switch. The below command is an example which you can use to export items in a mailbox sent or received between the dates of the 1st of March 2015 to the 1st of April 2015.
New-MailboxExportRequest -ContentFilter {(Received -lt ’04/01/2015′) -and (Received -ge ’03/01/2015′) -or (Sent -lt ’04/01/2015′) -and (Sent -ge ’03/01/2015′)} -Mailbox “User Name” -FilePath \\Server\Exports$\User.PST
