Email - Exchange

When I send an email from my exchange account it fails saying - Microsoft Exchange has been trying to deliver this message without success and has stopped trying. Please try sending this message again, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.

This only happens when sending emails externally. Internally are no problem

If anyone can suggest anything it would be appreciated.

I have fixed the problem. It was a DNS issue.

Do you have an external send connector setup?  It would also help us if we knew what version of Exchange you are working with.

When you send to an external domain, what is the exact error message in the Queue viewer in the column "last error".

Does this happen for all external domains or just one? Depending on what the error message is it might be an issue on the recipients end (which there is nothing you can do) or your domain might be blacklisted.

Exchange was looking at the network card settings for DNS lookup but the card was not configured for DNS. Pointed the network card at a DNS server which resolved the issue.
