vSphere Essentials Kit and Replication

Dear VMware Experts,

vSphere Essentials Kit does not include the vSphere Replication service.
The Plus version includes replication but it also includes HA and vMotion which raises
the cost and actually I do not need them.

Q1) Is it possible to add on the Essentials Kit the replication feature by using a 3rd party software such as Veeam ?

Q2) If it is possible, for replication purposes which vendor you recommend and why?

Thanks for your support,

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, Veeam Backup and Replication is compatible with Essentials, and to be honest, in our opinion, Veeam Replication is a better product, than vSphere Replication.

Veeam Backup and Replication, they have a long standing pedigree, the product is rock solid and stable, and is used by more VMware Admins, than vSphere Replication! I actually think vSphere replication is more complicated.
