ASP.Net Configuration

I have a ASP. Net website that works fine in Firefox; however, when I run it in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 it looks horrible.

I read someplace that the following value has to be set in the web.config.  When I tried the following it does not work.  What value is required to make the work consistently.

<system.web>
    <clientTarget>
        -<add alias="ie11" userAgent="Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/5.0)"/>
    </clientTarget>
</system.web>

Hi,
it could be this issue (browser detection):
http://blogs.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/posts/13-12-19/how-to-get-your-asp.net-application-working-in-ie11

Fixes are either installing latest framework 4.5 or download the custom .browser file.

Which .NET Framework version are you using?
