Issue in starting HTTP_Server in Oracle App Server

I am facing an issue in starting the HTTP_Server of Oracle App Server.

Following is the error that we get in HTTP_Server.log:
...
...
/usr/lib/hpux64/dld.so: Unable to find library 'libdms2.so'.
...

The 'libdms2.so' file lies in the Oracle App Server Directory (/data2/Oracle/ORA_APPSERVER/lib/)

We have setup the env variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH & SHLIB_PATH also in the '/etc/profile' file.
(I read, these are used in HP-UX to locate files)

Please let me know, in case you need any more info.

itaakashcomAuthor Commented:

I can only think at the moment that a non-standard library path is being searched. I did see mentioned somewhere that ${ORACLE_HOME}/lib is used. Does that exist?

otoh maybe for some reason it's trying to load a 32-bit http server so is ignoring that 64-bit library

You might need to consult detailed installation instructions and maybe even reinstall
