So are you saying that from the backup GUI you can run backup just fine? or are you saying that if you run the wbadmin from a command prompt it works? can you post your wbadmin script?

When i run the backup from the GUI it run fine, but at the time of the scheduled backup, the task doesn't start, it's skipped and display that the next backup will be on the next scheduled date.

You may have to delete the scheduled backup and re-create it. I know I have had to do that several times.

Been there Done that, didn't worked.
Ok i think i found the problem, in the "task Scheduler", in Microsoft, Windows, Backup, there is the "WindowsBackup" task, in the proprietes, in the "conditions" tab, the "Start the task only if the computer is on AC Power" is checked. From what i heard, it sometimes causes some problem as the server think he's on the battery and not on the AC.

Next Scheduled backup is at noon ET, i'll keep you posted.

I'm confused--from the latest description you have a task in Task Scheduler and not a Scheduled backup created with wbadmin GUI, right? Which one is it? If via Task Scheduler please post your backup script you inserted into that task--thanks. I have all my Task Scheduler setup with that option (Start the task only if the computer is on AC Power) and they all run fine but it doesn't hurt to make sure.

I used SBS Console to create my backup Schedule. Now SBS Console create its own task in the task scheduler. that's the one i'm talking about.

In the Task Scheduler look in the action tab and copy that command and paste it here please. In the history tab what results are there--can you copy and paste the the latest results and/or do a  print screen of the history

the attachement is the action command
here is what i saw this morning :
Task Scheduler did not launch task "\Microsoft\Windows\Backup\Microsoft-Windows-WindowsBackup"  because computer is running on batteries. User Action: If launching the task on batteries is required, change the respective flag in the task configuration.

also :
Task Scheduler failed to start "\Microsoft\Windows\Backup\Microsoft-Windows-WindowsBackup" task for user "NT AUTHORITY\System". Additional Data: Error Value: 2147750692.

1+1 = 2... this is why i'm pretty sure that uncheck the "Start the task only if the computer is on AC Power" will solve the issue.
i probably have an "events" issue because it's the first time i have something in the history but that's another thing that i'll look at later.
