WinZip Fails with a VSS Error

I am trying to create a Winzip backup of my Data Directory. It is about 64 GB

I get this VSS Error.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Does it happen if you use the Split of the Span/Split option?

what are the sizes of both files in the winzip?
maybe the size is too big?

I was not aware that WinZip had a file size limitation.

What is the Split Span Option. Why do you think that it would help?

My main concern is why does the VSS Service keep stopping and starting again.
Windows Event Log says that sometimes it stops as it has been idle for a period but I am concerned that it is causing the WinZip ErrorVss-Ran-Out-of-Time.pdf

does it work with other files, eg smaller ones?

I tried it with a 11gb folder. It seemed to finish but there was a message at the end saying WinZip Encountered an Error.

Don't know how to see if it got everything.

Tried it with a a 640MB folder and it finished without error message.

could be one of the files is bad - can you copy that folder and retry?
