I need to set up failover cluster with 2 nodes, both have windows 2008 R2 Enterprise, SQL server 2008 and SharePoint 2010. Can I do it without using external storage? Can they work as a mirror set? If not is it possible for Windows server 2012 R2?

I need to set up failover cluster with 2 nodes, both have windows 2008 R2 Enterprise, SQL server 2008 and SharePoint 2010. Can I do it without using external storage? Can they work as a mirror set? If not is it possible for Windows server 2012 R2?
