Retention Policy for Hybrid Exchange Online not working

Hi

We're currently trying out our Hybrid environment with Office 365 Exchange Online and On Premise Exchange 2010.
Most kinks are out of the way and it's loking quite good.

However if we migrate a mailbox which for instance has the retention policy to archive email older than 6 months.
That retention policy seems to stick with that mailbox after it's migrated, no matter what retention policy you set in Exchange Online. For example I've tried setting the archive time for email to two years.

The mailboxes I've tried it on is bigger than 10 MB, and I have tried to run the Start-ManagedFolderAssistant command.

Does anyone know why this happen, and do anyone got a fix or possibly a workaround ?

Regards.

The issue occurs because the retention policy runs automatically one time every 7 days for mailboxes that are larger than 10 MB. However, the retention policy does not automatically run for mailboxes that are smaller than 10 MB or within 7 days’ work cycle.

plz see workaround in the link below. it is not a blink link
