How to create an additional drive to AWS Windows EC2 instance

Hi, I just launched an AWS Windows 2012 EC2 instance. Please see attached.

C: drive only has about 30G. so my question is:

- how to increase the size of C: drive to 60G?
- how to create a new D: drive with 50G?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need an EBS volume to do this, but you can't expand the existing volume, you have to migrate to a larger volume as per these directions.

Or create a new instance and adjust the size of the volume during the instance creation...

Or use this method (snapshots)

Adding another "disk" is adding another EBS volume to your instance. First create the EBS volume and next attach it to your Windows instance. Then map your drive to the instance.
