Migrating Exchange to new domain

We want to make an entirely new domain and forest at a customer.
They have an AD with Exchange 2010 in it.

Can I use Active Directory Migration Tool, to transfer users, computer, and their Exchange mailboxes?
Specifically I am most nervous about how to transfer the permissions set for ie. shared mailboxes.

Hi,

You can use ADMT to transfer Users and computers but to move mailboxes you need to use Exchange management shell command. Here is the below link which explains cross forest moves. Or you can move through GUI if your exchange is exchange 2010 sp2 or sp3

My colleague tells me that the account in the old domain will be disabled, when transfering to new domain.
If that is true, won't that stop my users being able to log on to the old clients and shares in old domain?
I want my users to be able to log into servers in both domains until the migration is done.
