Windows Server Backup does not recogznize Windows Image Backup

I am trying to perform a bare metal restore via Windows Server backup.   I appear to have a complete backup but Windows Server Backup is saying that "The Specified remote shared folder does not contain any backup" when clearly it does.

I've even tried including the full path \\10.0.0.5\csserv\WindowsImagebackup and continue to get the error.

Has anyone else had any experience with this.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try to copy this image folder to usb drive and then browse it from there with restore wizard.

You have to give the path to the parent folder of WindowsImageBackup folder.

E.g.: \\<computer>\<share>

The <share> directory contains WindowsImageBackup folder.

If still unable to access, make sure the network machine is accessible and you can do net use to the folder. From cmd prompt,

    ping <computer>
    net use \\<computer>\<share>

I have tried to copy it to USB and have the same error.    I am also able to ping and create a drive mapping via net use... but I am still getting the same error.

The backup appears to be complete.

A dumb question, are you browsing it from the same Windows DVD which was used to install it? It should be same version.
